Bronchopneumonia is inflammation of the lungs that affects one or more lobes of the lungs characterized by
patches of infiltrates are caused by bacteria, viruses and mold. This disease in developing countries nearly
30% in children under 5 years with a high risk of death. The research aim was to describe the use of
antibiotics in pediatric patients with a diagnosis of bronchopneumonia at Raden Mattaher Jambi Hospital
consisting of aspects of the right dose, the right indication, the right patient, the right time interval and the
right duration of antibiotic use. This research method is descriptive with retrospective data retrieval of the
medical records of bronchopneumonia patients who meet the inclusion criteria. The results of this study found
that 34 bronchopneumonia patients generally had rational parameters in the right dose (82.35%), right
indication (100%), right patient (100%), and right time interval of administration (100%).
