Jatropha curcas is a plant of the Euphorbiaceae family. This study aims to analyze the chemical compounds
contained in Jatropha curcas leaves using Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS). Jatropha
leaves obtained from the area of Sedati, Juanda Sidoarjo were extracted using methanol as a solvent. Then
the two extracts of Jatropha leaves were analyzed using GCMS. The results showed that the methanol extract
of Jatropha leaves contained 28 chemical compounds and then analyzed their biological activity. It can be
concluded that Jatropha leaves contain a lot of chemical compounds that have biological activity for health.
