Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Think-Pair Share (Tps) Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas 8.5 SMP Negeri 6 Malang

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Kurangnya kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan secara kooperatif menimbulkan permasalahan di kelas 8.5 SMP Negeri 6 Malang, yaitu  siswa menjadi pasif dan hasil belajar siswa masih dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Dari permasalahan tersebut diterapkanlah metode pembelajaran Think-Pair Share (TPS) yang diharapkan meningkatkan hasil belajar di atas KKM. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti ialah penelitian kualitatif. Ditinjau dari pelaksanaan penelitian, maka penelitian ini digolongkan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK)
. Desain PTK mengacu pada model Kemmis dan M.C Taggart (1988) yang terdiri atas empat komponen, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. PTK dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas 8.5 SMP Negeri 6 Malang pada semester Gasal tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 37 siswa. Data diperoleh dari lembar observasi motivasi belajar siswa, lembar penilaian ulangan harian, lembar penilaian psikomotor. Sumber data, yaitu siswa, pengamat, dan peneliti. ­Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif.  Tahap-tahap kegiatan analisis data adalah 1) mereduksi data, 2) menyajikan data, 3) menarik kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. berdasarkan uraian hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran TPS dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, yaitu pada siklus I motivasi siswa dilihat secara klasikal yaitu meningkat sebesar 25% dan pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 24,18 %. Hasil belajar kognitif meningkat sebesar 18,61% dan pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 20,7%. Hasil belajar psikomotor pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 18,18% dan pada siklus II  meningkat sebesar 24,18 %

The Lack of learning activities carried out cooperatively because
problems in class 8.5 SMP 6 Malang, students become passive and student
learning outcomes is still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). From
the problems applied learning methods Think-Pair Share (TPS), which is expected
to improve learning outcomes above the KKM. the problems above applied

outcomes above the KKM. Research conducted by the researchers is a qualitative
research. Judging from the conduct of research, this research is classified in the
classroom action research (PTK). Classroom action research design refers to
the model Kemmis and M.C Taggart (1988), which consists of four components,
namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. classroom action research
implemented in two cycles. Research conducted at the 8.5 grade SMP 6 Malang
Jl.Kawi 15 A Odd Malang semester 2015/2016 academic year. The subjects of the
research for about 37 students. Data obtained from the observation sheet student
motivation, assessment sheets daily tests, psychomotor assessment sheets. The data
source those are students, analysis, and researchers. The data analysis used is
qualitative data analysis. The cycles of data analysis activities are 1) reducing the
data, 2) the present data, 3) draw conclusions, and verification. Based description
of the results showed that TPS learning methods can increase student motivation
is the first cycle seen in the classical student motivation is increased by 25% and
the second cycle increased by 24.18%. Cognitive learning outcomes increased by
18.61% and the second cycle increased by 20.7%. Psychomotor learning outcomes
in the first cycle increased by 18.18% and the second cycle increased by 24.18%
