Important Announcement: Changes to Article Processing Charge (APC), Manuscript Template, and Review System of Pharmasci (Journal of Pharmacy and Science)

Dear Authors,

We are pleased to announce several important updates to the publication policy of Pharmasci (Journal of Pharmacy and Science). These changes are implemented as part of our continuous efforts to improve the quality, consistency, and integrity of the journal's publication process.

Effective from the January 2027 edition (Vol. 12 No. 1), the following changes will apply:

1.     Increase in Article Processing Charge (APC)

The Article Processing Charge (APC) has been adjusted to:

IDR 850,000 or USD 50 per accepted article

The APC contributes to the operational and publication costs of the journal, including manuscript processing, editorial management, online publication, and other activities supporting the sustainability and quality of the journal.

2.     Changes to the Manuscript Template

Starting from Vol. 12 No. 1, authors are required to use the latest manuscript template provided by Pharmasci. The updated template contains several adjustments to the manuscript structure, formatting, references, tables, figures, and other elements of article preparation. Authors are kindly requested to download and use the latest template available in the “Manuscript Template” section of the journal website before submitting their manuscripts. Manuscripts submitted using outdated templates may be returned to the authors for revision prior to entering the review process.

3.     Implementation of Double-Blind Peer Review.

Pharmasci is also implementing a Double-Blind Peer Review system. Under this system, the identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the peer-review process. This policy is intended to support an objective and fair evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Therefore, authors are required to ensure that their submitted manuscripts do not contain information that directly reveals their identities, including:

  • Authors' names and affiliations;
  • Email addresses and other contact information;
  • Author biographies or acknowledgements that may identify the authors;
  • Other statements that could directly reveal the identity of the authors.

Author identity and affiliation should be provided separately through the submission system or in the designated metadata section.

 Further details regarding the Double-Blind Peer Review procedure, manuscript requirements, and review process can be found in the “Review” section of the Pharmasci website.

 We kindly ask all authors to carefully review the updated Manuscript Template and Review Guidelines before submitting a new manuscript.

These changes are intended to strengthen the quality and transparency of the editorial and peer-review process while maintaining the academic standards of Pharmasci.
