Physical Stability Test of Bakuchiol Oil and Bakuchiol Encapsulated Cream

Loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles on the skin are signs of aging that are often encountered. The purpose of this study was the evaluation of the physical stability of bakuchiol oil cream and encapsulated bakuchiol at 25°C for 30 days. This research was carried out experimentally. The tests observed are organoleptic homogeneity, emulsion type, dispersion and pH. Organoleptic test results are analyzed descriptively, while measurements other than organoleptic are analyzed with independent t-test statistics using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software. The results of this study obtained that organoleptic, bakuchiol oil cream showed beige color, cream shape, distinctive fruit odor, homogeneous, M/A type, 50g dispersion power of 5.9 cm, 250g dispersion power of 7.47 cm, and pH of 7.5. While the test results of organoleptic encapsulated bakuchiol cream showed white, cream shape, odorless, homogeneous, type M/A, physical characteristics showed a dispersion power of 50 g of 5.23cm, a dispersion of 250g of 6.97cm and a pH of 7.61. The stability test results show that the formula of bakuchiol oil and bakuchiol encapsulated meets the requirements of good cream stability. The results of statistical tests provide a significant difference between the two cream.
