Coenzyme Q10 is naturally found in mitochondria, functioning as an antioxidant to protect the body from free radicals. One preparation that can increase its stability is Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC). NLC is a drug delivery system that uses a combination of solid lipids and liquid lipids stabilized by surfactants. This study aims to determine the composition of Isopropyl palmitate on the physical characteristics of the NLC Coenzyme Q10 preparation. In this study, the formulation of NLC Coenzyme Q10 preparation was made with varying concentrations of liquid lipids Isopropyl palmitate F1 2%, F2 3% and F3 4% solid lipid Cetyl palmitate 12% with the active ingredient Coenzyme Q10. The finished NLC preparation was stored for 24 hours to conduct physical characteristic tests including organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, and spreadability. Based on the results of organoleptic testing, the three formulas have met the specified specifications, namely having a semi- solid form, pale yellow in color and odorless, and showing good homogeneity. The test results showed that variations in the composition of isopropyl palmitate did not significantly affect the pH value or spreadability of the NLC coenzyme Q10 preparation (p>0.05). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that differences in the composition of liquid lipids in the NLC Coenzyme Q10 preparation did not affect the physical characteristics test.
